Alison Lee Cousland is an Australian visual artist recognised for her elfin ephemeral art and her intriguing sustainable art pieces. She creates simple structures and arrangements with natural materials found at any specific site to form relationships that are visually intertwined with that particular landscape. As a mixed media studio artist, Alison also combines the traditional mediums of drawing and painting with natural and discarded man-made materials, fabric and stitch, to give birth to fascinating ’objects of desire.’ Photographs of her pieces in various stages of their development are increasingly extended into her collaged work, integrated with sculptural forms. Periodically some of Alison’s imagery is reproduced as NFTS.
