Create Non fungible tokens and earn brand recognition

Feb 24, 2021

Daring to be different and to make a difference is perhaps the most interesting achievement to which we could ever aspire. History has been written by men and women who at a given moment did something that made the difference, broke parameters to risk proposing a new idea, to clarify a concept, to learn something that was mysterious, to teach a lesson to others, and to improve living. Human beings who set themselves a challenge by initiating a crusade that made a difference in them and therefore in humanity are definitely interesting people.

Yet many believe that making a difference is a long way off that is just impossible to achieve unless you are some “chosen one”. They think they have to be super famous, influential, or have a lot of money. They think that only people who made a difference in the world, like Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, Mahatma Gandhi, or Bill Gates, are capable of doing so because they were special on their own. But they are not.

Let’s talk about non-fungibility

Following this thought, I wanted to bring the subject of token creation from a marketing and brand development perspective. Because we all live in a digital world now, making a difference is, or could be, intimately related to the strategies and paths we take when we set out goals. Whether we have an online shop or are YouTubers or we just love to write blogs about fashion, creating tokens could make a huge difference because of one simple reason: they are unique.

The fungible goods are those considered in the legal traffic according to their number, measure or weight, and can be substituted by others. However, non-fungible goods are those that cannot be substituted. Then, a Non-Fungible Token (NFT) which is the kind of token that you create at MintMe, is a cryptographic token on the blockchain that represents a unique asset class, meaning that it has a code that is unique and cannot be just substituted by another token. Since NFTs are not exchangeable, they can act as proof of authenticity and ownership in the digital realm. As well as identify you as a brand or identify your project and personal idea, making it special and one of a kind in the representation of its value to those who purchase it.

Good examples of non-expandable goods could be works of art that are unrepeatable because they are unique, museum and collector's items, custom-made products exclusively for a consumer, or tailor-made products with limited numbers or print runs. Of course, being non-fungible doesn’t only mean they are unique, but also NFT can be traded on open marketplaces, connecting buyers with sellers and the value of each token is unique because prices are subject to changes in the law of supply and demand in the market.

“ A good brand tells stories, with a consistent and continuous message, weaving meaning into every piece...this is achieved by allowing ourselves to develop into new and especially technological strategies such as the creation of non-fungible tokens. ”

How to build a stronger brand

For small brands and beginner influencers, designers, or any business, achieving great recognition through uniqueness is an unattainable goal (or at least very far away). But making the difference is more than just making a very cool and catchy logo. It encompasses the values, voice, and design decisions that are like a continuous thread through products, packaging, and online presence. A good brand tells stories, with a consistent and continuous message, weaving meaning into every piece. As said before: this is achieved by allowing ourselves to develop into new and especially technological strategies such as the creation of non-fungible tokens.

Platforms like Patreon have proven that personal creators can enjoy a great lifestyle supported by loyal followers. But the creation of tokens takes crowdfunding (Now Blockchain crowdfunding) and brand recognition more than a step further, creating a new mechanism to foster a loyal fan base and monetize content.

Influencers and people who leverage their brands are quite common. But at the same time, many fail in the pursue of actually making a difference and remaining significant. Whether you are an artist, athlete, writer, or educator, leverage your personal brands to create business empires off the field by trying to engage in a different marketing level through token creation.
